Brainstorming, it's what I do...

So while getting saucy and starting this blog last night (what was I thinking) I spent a significant amount of time brainstorming some categories to post about weekly. Maybe I just get excited about brainstorming about blogging  and after letting you all in on my ideas I will lose interest and abandon burr-esque. That's a risk you are just going to have to take. I like me some brainstorming! actually, I should add a category dedicated to brainstorming and maybe it'll keep this 'ole blog going.

So here they are:

This is Awesome - basically an account of my most awesome finds. Those of you that know me (which is no one because I have no intention of actually alerting my acquaintances to the fact that I am writing a blog due to the slim chance that it will live to see 30 days) will know that I love me some vintage/antique/thrifted finds. I have a knack for finding awesome stuff. Ya I said it. Some have gone far enough to call it 'my problem'. Whaaaaaaaaat? You will read about where I got a lot of my awesome shit and probably get to see some photos.

Shit People Sell - In this household we have an unfortunate addiction to kijiji.com, craigslist, buysell.com, castanet.net, etc etc. Basically we like to snoop and see what kind of shit people have for sale. It's awesome, stay tuned.

Fixated & Fumbled - Taking a page out of these blogs' books over at The Daybook and Saige Wisdom (some of my daily reads). Check out their Awesome and Awkward, and midweek confessions posts and you'll get the drift. Lets hope I have enough material to keep this category going (hah!).

Also, something animal. I have yet to come up with a cute catch phrase for that one - in consideration is menagerie-a-toi but I'm afraid it sounds borderline zoophiliac which is not what I'm going for. It's a work in progress... but I'm sure you'll all enjoy reading my gushing about how great my pets are. There is a dog, horse and most recently a semi-stray cat. Stay tuned for cat video uploads to youtube. I can do that now.

There are some things you should know..

• I started a blog and failed over a year ago... blogger totally cut me off from it... how dare they!

• as a newlywed I am having issue with this new surname, while constantly trying to identify with it. Hence - the blog title is a disgusting surname abomination. These "burr" puns actually disgust me, I'm trying to embrace them because there are so many. Do you know how many times I've heard this phrase "...like, burr it's cold in here?" it's so bad that when people ask me how to spell it (a whole other issue - it's 4 letters and 1 syllable people... how do you think?!) I actually say " b-u-r-r like burr it's cold in here."

• a lot of blogging will probably be done while I'm in a wine induced stupor, or a stupor induced by something else, beer, rye... you name it.

•  I don't even have internet at my house... ya, good luck with that WEBlog Heather...

• also, I don't have TV. Cue the "oh my gawd?! seriously?" I pretty much read a lot and feed my horses like 5 times a day... oh yea, and job search-HAHA (whatever, I just moved to a new town. give me a break!)

• secretly I have internet on certain evenings when my husband 'borrows' the router from his portable job-site office.

• my blog is brown. whatever. It's probably temporary, maybe. 

•  I'm a list writer. also a lazy typer - capitols on 'I' words, but not the beginnings of sentences.

• I should go and check on my husband. He is in the hot tub alone and has a tendency to fall asleep anytime anywhere after a few beers. oops... how long have I been writing this list?

Update on the hot tub husband

He DID fall asleep in the hot tub! He got out while I was putting on my lime green tiger print rubber boots to go and check on him, and answered in the affirmative after I asked about 3 times. Yes, I do take the time to put on horse-feeding attire on my way to check that my husband has vital signs. Multitask is my mantra.
